시놉시스Synopsis

프랑스의 작은 시골에서 송로버섯 농장을 운영하는 오르탕스 라보리는 현지에서 이름난 요리사다. 우연히 프랑스 대통령의 개인 요리사 자리를 제안 받은 그녀는 대통령 관저인 엘리제궁에 입성한다. 지금껏 대통령의 식사는 격식을 차린 고급 요리 위주였지만, 그가 진정으로 원하는 음식은 따뜻한 프랑스 가정식이란 것을 깨닫는 라보리. 그녀가 대통령의 입맛을 사로잡을수록 오랜 세월 엘리제궁의 음식을 담당해온 주방장의 견제는 심해지고, 주변의 불편한 시선을 느낀 라보리는 자신의 일에 회의를 품는다. 프랑수아 미테랑 전 프랑스 대통령의 개인 요리사였던 여성 셰프 다니엘 델푀슈의 실화를 토대로 한 영화로, 다채로운 프랑스 요리의 매력을 만끽할 수 있는 작품.

Hortense Laborie, a renowned chef from Périgord, is astonished when the President of the Republic appoints her his personal cook, responsible for creating all his meals at the Élysée Palace. Despite jealous resentment from the other kitchen staff, Hortense quickly establishes herself, thanks to her indomitable spirit. The authenticity of her cooking soon seduces the President, but the corridors of power are littered with traps. This film is based on the real-life story of Danièle Delpeuch, the personal chef to former French president François Mitterrand.
