서울국제음식영화제

레스 블랭크는 세계적으로 잘 알려진 미국의 독립영화 감독이다. <Burden of Dreams>로 1982년 영국아카데미를 수상했다. 그의 작품들을 조망하는 회고전들이 전 세계 주요 박물관들에서 열렸으며, 작품 중 두 편이 미국 의회도서관이 지정, 보관하는 영화자료로 선정되었다. 2013년 78세로 사망했다.
지나 라이브레흐트는 오레곤대학교에서 영화를 전공한 뒤 활발한 활동을 하고 있다. 1998년 레스 블랭크과 함께 <차 한 잔에 담긴 것들>의 공동 제작, 연출, 편집을 맡았고, 이 작품은 2007년 베를린영화제에서 월드 프리미어로 공개된 후 40개가 넘는 영화제에서 상영되었고 선댄스 채널에서도 방영됐다. 레스 블랭크의 유작 <How to Smell a Rose: A Visit with Ricky Leacock at his Farm in Normandy>를 함께 완성했으며, 최근에는 레스 블랭크의 아들 해롤드 블랭크와 함께 작업 중이다.

Les BLANK is a world-renowned independent filmmaker. His highly acclaimed Burden of Dreams won the British Academy Award in 1982. Major retrospectives of BLANK’s films have been mounted in major museums around the world. Two of his films are in the National Film Registry. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 78.
Gina LEIBRECHT has been working in film since she received her B.A. in Telecommunications and Film from the University of Oregon in 1989. In 1998 she began collaborating with Les BLANK on All in This Tea, which she co-produced, co-directed, and edited, and which had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2007, screened in over 40 festivals worldwide, and was broadcast on the Sundance Channel. She completed a collaboration with Les BLANK called How to Smell a Rose: A Visit with Ricky Leacock in Normandy. Gina is currently collaborating with Harrod BLANK on a documentary film about his father, the late Les BLANK.
