시놉시스Synopsis

대형 식당에 취직한 사회 초년생 딸 예린과 퇴직 후 야간 경비직에 취직한 아버지 태진. 예린은 주방 보조로 양파를 까는 일과 잡일을 도맡아 하고 동경의 대상인 식당 매니저에게 꾸중을 들으며 성장통을 겪는다. 반면 태진은 30년 교사 생활을 마친 후 다른 일자리를 찾았지만 변화된 시대와 세대에 적응하기가 쉽지 않다. 각자 양파처럼 맵고 쓰린 하루를 보낸 두 사람은 조촐하지만 따뜻한 식사 한 끼를 통해 서로의 위로가 되어 준다.

Ye-rin got a job at a large restaurant, while her father Tae-jin got a night watch job after retirement. Ye-rin is in charge of peeling onions and doing chores as a kitchen assistant, and suffers from growing pains when she is scolded by a restaurant manager who is in mourning. On the other hand, Tae-jin found another job after 30 years as a teacher, but it is not easy to adapt to the changed times and generations. The two, who each had a spicy and bitter day like onions, comfort each other through a simple but warm meal.
