시놉시스Synopsis

커피는 세계 각국의 다른 배경을 가진 사람들을 하나로 묶는다. 지구상에서 커피를 모르는 곳은 한 군데도 없다. 하지만 우리는 커피를 생산하는 지역 사람들에 대해서는 잘 알지 못한다. 이 다큐멘터리는 5명의 중미 지역 농부들의 삶을 살펴보고 매우 특별한 커피를 생산하는 방법을 탐구한다. 사무엘 사발라, 루이스 바야다레스, 에우도로 기옌, 세르히오 오르테스는 니카라과에서 일하고 페르난도 리마는 엘살바도르에서 커피를 생산한다. 관객들은 그들이 커피를 만드는 독특한 방법과 그들의 믿음, 희망, 그리고 투쟁에 대해 배운다. 그리고 관객들은 커피 한 잔에 투자한 노력과 지식을 보게 된다.

Coffee is a drink that unites people with different backgrounds from all over the world. There’s not a single place on Earth where they don’t know coffee. But we rarely get to know those local people who produce it. This documentary looks at the lives of five Central American farmers and explores their methods of producing a very special coffee. Samuel Zavala, Luis Balladarez, Eudoro Guillen and Sergio Ortez work in Nicaragua, Fernando Lima produces coffee in El Salvador. We get to know their methods and unique ways of processing coffee, we learn about their beliefs, their hopes and their struggles. And we witness the hard work and knowledge invested in a cup of coffee.
