시놉시스Synopsis

일본의 활기 넘치는 부엌이라고 불리는 쓰키지 시장은 세계에서 가장 큰 수산물 도매시장이다. 약 80년 전에 니혼바시에서 도쿄 중심부의 쓰키지로 옮겨졌으며, 오랜 역사 동안 꾸준히 많은 사람들의 사랑을 받았다. 쓰키지 시장은 각종 생선과 해산물들로 일본의 식탁을 채웠을 뿐 아니라 2012년 유네스코 인류무형유산에 등재된 일본요리 ‘와쇼쿠’의 핵심이 되었다. 영화는 쓰키지 시장 사람들의 열정과 일본 전통 요리의 정수를 보여준다. 2016년 산세바스티안영화제 상영작.

The Tsukiji Market, which is called “Japan’s Lively Kitchen”, is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. The market was built about 80 years ago, when it has moved from Nihonbashi area to Tsukiji area in central Tokyo. Fish and seafood from Tsukiji begins to color the Japanese tables and functions as the core of “Washoku”, the Japanese cuisine which is added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012. This film will show you the passion of people in Tsukiji and the important essence of Japanese traditional cuisine.
