<달콤한 만두>는 라이 킨 창의 첫 픽션 단편이다. 라이 킨은 벨기에에서 태어났지만 중국-베트남계라는 사실로 인해 서양 및 중국 전통문화와 함께 성장할 수 있었다. 예술과 영화에 대한 애정으로 라이 킨은 브뤼셀 RITCS에서 애니메이션을 공부했다. 최근 그녀의 관심은 음식과 그 은유를 영화에 담아내는 것이다. 그녀는 또한 복잡한 중국 가족 관계에 대한 이야기를 공유하고 싶어 한다.

Sweet Dumplings is Lai Kin’s first fiction short film. Lai Kin is born in Belgium yet her Chinese-Vietnamese roots gave her the benefit of growing up with the Western and Chinese traditional culture. With a passion for arts and film, Lai Kin graduated from the animation film department at the RITCS (Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound) in Brussels. Her recent choice to direct fiction films is mainly to express her fascination for food and its metaphor. She also want to share the stories about complex Chinese family relations.
